Motabyke to Vung Tau

Our Trip to Vung Tau! = one of the most dangerous things I have ever done in my life.

Imagine riding a bike that only goes 25 mph while cars are driving 60 mph right next to you...in the rain also on narrow roads. This equals pretty much the most dumbest things anyone should ever try but try none the less. Tat, Alan, me, Ian and his "family" or his girlfriend's family drove us to Vung Tau, which is considered a beach city. Even though the city wasn't all that nice, we had fun riding (sometimes) and just relaxing from work. Even though this next week is going to kill us...

This is us driving into Vung Tau after like 4 hours of rain in our face. We finally got to take off our ponchos. And the other video is of us driving around at night just exploring the beach city which was more like a seaport because it smelled of fish guts everywhere. Not as nice as the beaches in Thailand and it was way more expensive for what you get.

Ian is a Vietnamese Tree
Tat is a garbage bag!

So sad...

I hate rain
Yes for communism and father Ho Chi Minh!
This is us pre-departure filling up on gas. As you can see we all have our helmets which probably wont protect us if we fall but at least it keeps your head warm from the wind. And we also have facemasks ready to rob a jewelry shop. Actually for me it was a protector from all the nasty smelling open sewers of third world countries. Also helped keep my face warm.

Me and Kim's older sister riding her vespa scooter. These are pretty bank here but they still dont go that fast. We were driving like 40 kmh which is like 25 mph.

Alan picked up a girl and started making out on the bike.
The nasty Saigon River. It's all brown, wouldn't want to go swimming in that.

Because of Vietnam's non-existent infrastructure (i.e. bridge) we had to take a barge accross the Saigon River. Me and Ian got left by the group when they ditched us to take the barge without us.Kim's family and new additions of Alan and Tat.
Alan's driver had a pretty fast bike. He said they were hitting 120 kmh at some times which is near 75mph. Alan's rain poncho ripped twice as you can see it's more like a cape. Super FOB!

We had crab, peeing shrimp and fish for dinner. So much food.
Alan drunk...imitating 2Pac. And Biggie Smalls at the same time haha jk.

I wonder what he's dreaming about
Alan waking up from his sleep, a little sick propably drank too much.

Tat enjoying the ride.

My brother reminds me of a turtle. And his girlfriend reminds me of a 7 year old haha.

Us preparing for the long cold ride home...my rain coat only protected my chest, everything else was soaked.

Back in HCMC, back to be alive!
